Summary of Responsibilities
The Community Manger, in partnership with the Advancing Leader Effectiveness team, helps to develop and build Catalyst’s MARC (Men Advocating Real Change) initiative, an integral component of Catalyst’s strategy to engage men in gender equity. The Community Manager works to develop, implement, and report on MARC strategy and ensure its alignment with Catalyst’s mission to expand opportunities for women and business.
Responsibilities include ongoing member engagement through blogs, forums, newsletters, in-person and virtual events, social media, and moderating and running an online portal. The Community Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with content contributors, such as bloggers and industry thought leaders, individual MARC community members, and participating Catalyst member companies. In partnership with the MARC Program Director, the Community Manager will support the first phase of a five-year strategy to increase unique visitors across platforms, spur interest in men’s participation in gender equity, and support key influencers with strategies for change through an expansive social media campaign and website upgrade. Internally, the Community Manager participates in Catalyst’s cross-departmental Men’s Issue Specialty Team, and works with the Center for Advancing Leader Effectiveness staff and senior Catalyst management to keep internal stakeholders informed and engaged with MARC activities.
